Big Day Out
Some Future Spark power generation cycles will be attending the Big Day Out as it travels around Australia. Four bike will be stationed at the Lily Pad so attendees can get some exercise while watching the acts. Two of the bikes will be pumping air into an inflatable man and two will be providing a small electrical power outlet for people to recharge their phones.

For those of you interested in how we measured your output, here’s a quick breakdown:
The bikes output DC power at 150V, so we measured the current using LEM HX 05-NP current sensor to give us the power using P=VI. The analog voltage output of the LEM current sensor was captured and sent to the digital realm using a Labjack U3.
