A HUGE Melbourne festival season
Wow! What a great start to 2010 we have had with presence at festivals!
February March and April are very crowded months for festivals in Melbourne and regional Victoria, and we have been very excited to have participated in 14 of them in the last 3 months!
Some Highlights:
The Sustainable Living Festival in Federation Square is one of our “love-jobs” (for the second year) and it is a wonderful event to be part of.
Moomba is a long standing Melbourne Tradition that is enjoying a renaissance. We were in an ideal location between one of the stages and the carnival section. Geoff enjoyed a wet afternoon with adults and kids seeking shelter (but having to pedal for the privilege) brightened by Dan Sultan putting on a great show just across the grass.
We attended our first Agricultural show in Heytsbury. What a treat! We will be delighted to do more of these! The Timboon Lions challenged the Simpson Lions to a pedal-off, with Timboon taking home the glory. (Lot’s of roaring afterward about a rematch next year!)
Down to Rosebud on the Mornington Peninsula for the Bay to Bay Cycling Race.

Down to Wonthaggi for the Wonthaggi Energy Innovation Festival and Human Powered Vehicle Race.
And up to Shepparton for Earth Hour this year.
Hepburn Wind Cooperative Pedal for Climate Action
Congratulations to the Hepburn Wind Cooperative and the Daylesford community for achieving their target of 2000 Watt Hrs on Saturday.
Saturday 24th Oct. was the International Day of Climate Action and Hepburn Wind had set a target to off-set the energy they required to show the film “The Age of Stupid.”
They more than doubled the power they needed with a combination of Future Spark Bike Power and Solar energy....
