On Friday 23rd October, Melbourne Girls College got a head start on Climate Action day. The Victorian Governor Prof. David De Kretser opened the day with an address to students and staff and then, together with Mrs De Kretser added their energy to the Future Spark Power trailer.

Thereafter followed a very spirited competition between classes and houses to yield our biggest one-day total ever, at

4385 Watt Hours!

This was ample to off-set the energy later used by Rod Quantock when he delivered his fantastic show “Bugger the polar bears, this is serious.”
